It seems I can’t resist an opportunity to photograph the beautiful Chihuly sculptures that grace the entrance to the Desert Botanical Garden. I snapped this shot Saturday night when I was there for the Luminarias.
Happy Birthday to my dear friend David! Celebrate the day!
Happy birthday, David. Hope the day sparkles.
ReplyDeleteI hope the Desert Botanical Garden raises enough money to keep these Chihuly sculptures permanently.
ReplyDeleteIf I had known it is David's birthday today, I would have extended birthday wishes to him last evening when we saw him and you.
beautiful image. Happy Birthday David!
ReplyDeleteDid you enjoy the luminarias? Tracy and I talked about trying to get there to see them. The sculptures are gorgeous by night.
ReplyDeleteLovely as always.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday, David!
This is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteFabulous pieces. Are they not there permanently?
ReplyDeleteThey're certainly beautiful any time of the day and under any lighting situations. I'm glad you couldn't resist!
ReplyDeleteYour photograph of Chihuly's glass spikes is wonderful. I have seen Chihuly work in garden/conservatory settings 4 - 5 times, and I think that is where they are at their best.
ReplyDeleteLovely with the color and shadows. And hello to a fellow Arizonian!
ReplyDeletewow ... nice
ReplyDeleteAnd what a wonderful birthday it was! How powerful and precious is the gift of friendship! xo
ReplyDeleteGreat light in this shot, Sharon...can't blame you for wanting to photograph these Chihuly works!
