My tree is quite small compared to some I’ve seen around town. I always feel a little sad when the blooms are all gone. My little tree seems to pour all of its energy into producing these blooms and after they are gone it seems to take the tree a little while to recover.
What a dear, self-sacrificing tree. To work so hard, give you such a show of beauty, then to gather into itself to recover.
ReplyDeleteGreat collage of your tree's blossoms. I've never seen an orchid tree...does it bloom only in climates similar to Ariz?
ReplyDeleteGreat collage with beautiful pictures. Looks like yours is a Hong Kong orchid ?? The orchid trees seem to be especially lush this year, just like all our other flora due to the winter rains.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos of a lovely tree. Kathy, Tracy and I were just talking about these trees yesterday on our walk!
ReplyDeleteI can see why you did a collage. How could you select just one?
ReplyDeleteI'd like to have an orchid tree-does anyone know the scientific name for it?
ReplyDeleteOh, and if it will grow well in Tucson?

ReplyDeleteJust beautiful! I have never seen this tree in bloom in your yard. What a treat.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful tree. I'd love one in my yard. I wonder if they are hard to grow.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful
ReplyDeleteHey, wouldn't you know I have a post scheduled with a tree that looks just like that and me wondering what is is? :-) You've done a lovely job of capturing some of the beauty this gorgeous Spring has given us.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful. I think bees are going crazy looking at these flowers :-))
ReplyDeleteWe had an orchid tree in the back yard of the house we just sold. Like you said, the flowers are so pretty, but they don't last very long! This is a gorgeous tree!
ReplyDeleteOrchid Tree? I have no idea what this is but I will check it next. Gorgeous flowers and great collage!
