Unique in purple
I photographed this very unique little flower while out shopping one day. I have no idea what it is so, I’m depending on my readers to fill me in. Anyone have an idea?
All I know is that it is the most unusual flower I’ve seen!
You have stumped me. It looks like tiny lavender spoons radiating from the middle. The petals look like they channel rain water to the center of the flower, similar to the way an agave leaf channels water to the plant. I therefore would guess that it is a desert plant because of this adaptation to an environment with little rain.
I'm sorry I can't help you identify the flower. I am so glad you saw it, captured it and shared it with us. It is beautiful. It looks so dainty and delicate. It looks like it would be the inspiration for a lovely brooch or pendant.
This is a unique flower. I like the interesting petals and the color is fabulous too! I have never seen it before.

ReplyDeleteI wonder if that would grow in my garden? It must be some kind of exotic daisy. I want one.

ReplyDeleteI've never seen anything like it! Very pretty and unusual
ReplyDeleteIt's a daisy, an African variety if I recall correctly. I had some once but that was before I had a yard so they didn't last long.....
ReplyDeleteI think that's a gecko. It has suction cups.
ReplyDeleteCan't remember the name, but I have a photo of it in my flickr stream.
ReplyDeleteIncredible flower! I'm sure I've never seen it before.
ReplyDeleteNice colors and depth of field.
