The last time I visited the Desert Botanical Gardens they had opened the butterfly pavilion for the spring collection of butterflies of all kinds. I put this collage together of some of the beauties I saw inside.
The day I went I was wearing a yellow shirt and I attracted a few butterflies who thought my shirt might be a tasty flower.
That's beautiful, thank you!
ReplyDeleteMoving targets are not easy to photograph but you must have had lots of patience to get these beauties on film. A lovely collage!
ReplyDeleteOh my. I don't remember any place like that you described in Tucson. I was there the last time in 1952 and was only a kid of 18. The coolest thing in all of Arizona then, to me, was a pair of silver buttons "Squaw Boots" with the white elkskin soles. Wow. I think I paid about $20.00 for them at a shoe store named,"Parkers."
ReplyDeleteI do admire your photography skills.
Kate is right. I have spent some time with a camera hovering above butterflies trying to capture them when their wings are open. You have done an excellent job capturing the butterflies in hyour collage.
ReplyDeleteI like the second photo of the black and white butterfly and the third photo of the butterfly among the pink flowers best. it is so hard to capture butterflies with their wings open and then to keep them in focus for that brief moment to take the photo. well done!
ReplyDeleteA stunning and colorful collection of butterflies. Very pretty.
ReplyDeleteSharon, these are lovely. When enlarged the detail is super.
ReplyDeleteYour camera does a great job capturing the vivid colors. But, your eye does a good job of capturing the subject, too.
ReplyDeleteoh Sharon I love this one. What fabulous butterflies. Looks really good on a coolage
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous 'collection'! Beautiful collage!
ReplyDeleteWow! You made a marvelous job with those little winged things.
