Seasons

Just three weeks ago, the last of the leaves on the fig tree in my backyard curled up and dropped off leaving this one lonely fig remaining on the tree. Today, I spotted new leaves bursting out from the ends of the branches. Soon it will be covered with those famously large leaves again and new fruit will start to develop.

It is amazing how quickly the seasons change in southern Arizona.

  3. I love figs. It is amazing that the new growth occurred all within three weeks. I want some figs with wine and cheese when the figs are ripe :)
