Lunch Time
A giraffe is enjoying an afternoon snack from one of the tall feeding bins. If you look closely you can also see some of the vultures I mentioned yesterday sitting on the crest of the hill. You might have to click on it to get a better view.
The composition on this photo is awesome. I love the way his patterned neck stretches across the frame and the cactus is featured behind him. Great shot! Looks like you're doing well with your new camera!
These are lovely creatures. I could watch them all day.
ReplyDeleteAn elegant shot of the giraffe
ReplyDeleteI guess giraffe snacks need to be up high! Now, those vultures looks rather ominous.
ReplyDeleteI'm extremely fond of giraffes and just loved your photo! And Phoenix Zoo is so different to Moscow one that I dream of visiting it.
ReplyDeleteI love to watch the giraffes as they walk because their movement is so fluid. Good shot of a hungry giraffe!
ReplyDeleteReticulated giraffes are my favourites! This one must be from northern Kenya.
ReplyDeleteAww, this is a wonderful shot, Sharon! Giraffes seem to nibble so delicately.
ReplyDeleteI would spend a lot of time watching these creatures.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot. The giraffe makes a nice frame for the birds.
ReplyDeleteWow, what a great line created by the neck. The cactus looks so small in the distance. Great shot!
ReplyDeletewhere else can you get a giraffe shot with saguaros in the background?
ReplyDeleteDamon and I were there Sunday!
ReplyDeleteI love the giraffe shot with blue sky and a saguaro. excellent
ReplyDeleteThis is great! If the zoo ever has photo contests, you should definitely submit some of yours.
ReplyDeleteGood capture.
ReplyDeleteVery cool
ReplyDeleteLove the Black Vultures in the back and the huge crane looking bird on the left.
