Cute as a bug

Isn't this the cutest little car?  I first spotted these cute little Fiats when I was in Italy almost three years ago.  A few months after returning from that trip, they started to show up on the streets of Phoenix.  Now I see quite a few of them but this one caught my eye with those fancy wheels and that racing stripe trim.  It just looks fun!

Based on the old Fiat 500 which had a 500cc engine in which is how it got it's name

They are very popular in the UK, there is even a larger version which looks a little odd!

Like the style but I wonder how they would operate in a Minnesota winter?

Very nice. Looks brand new, too. We see a few here, but they are kinda hidden behind all the beeg pickups rolling along our streets.

I'm posting a bit on L & L (http://www.landlfotos.com/blog.html)

That looks just like the one I posted a few weeks ago! Same color too.

I doubt my tall frame could fit in that!

I like the colour and would go for the soft pull-back roof that I have seen on a few! They seem to do pretty well in our winters. With snow tires of course. ;-)

I also love them! But my German husband will not allow me to have an Italian car. ;-)

Cinquecento looooove! They have taken over the streets of Paris and I usually see a few when I'm in Seattle these days!

Oh and I agree with Llandudno, the 'Cinquecento Grande' is... ummm... ugly!

I have been seeing them here too! I love the shade of green on this one.

It has pretty sophisticated lines for a peanut-sized car. Last spring I encountered some unusual new Fiats in Naples and took their photos, but I'm sure I can't lay my hands on them.

I do like Italian cars but I'll stick with my Nissan Altima this time around. (If the damned steering wheel doesn't explode in my face!)

They are cute. They remind me of a Jellybean.
