I saw this piece of art in the window of a gallery that was closed at the time. It appears to be a combination of paint and scraps of wood. Shadows are clouding the image but you can still tell that it has a certain patriotic theme going on. I thought it would be a perfect image for Memorial Day. After all, all things political and patriotic are a bit of a jumble these days here in the U S of A. What's right and what's wrong have been twisted into a knot. Here's hoping we can untie that knot in future days.

A very fitting work of art for today. The layers and textures add to the symbolism of the Stars and Stripes, the Statue of Liberty, and the red, white, and blue.
What a curious piece. I can't decide whether it's being supportive or critical of the country's current governance. Or maybe it's not commenting on the governance at all.
