I could hear the noise early Thursday morning so I went out to see what was happening and I caught sight of the electric company filing in the hole they dug to fix the outage we had two weeks ago.
I see they had a Bobcat to help them this time instead of the Kubota they used four years ago. I did talk to the mangers here and they told me that the electric company knows what is causing the problem but that it will take a large amount of digging to lay new cable to completely fix it. Supposedly, this last outage bumped us up on the "needed construction" list so we should see some work being done sometime in the next year. Fingers crossed!
Let's hope.
ReplyDeleteWe had a Summer storm a few weeks ago. Trees down everywhere. I was at home late afternoon when the power disappeared. I was just about to start complaining about it when the power came back!
ReplyDeleteHopefully fixed before next summer.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it is easier to have the cables above ground. It is interesting, Sharon.
ReplyDeleteIt takes time... Very frustrating!
ReplyDeleteThey seem to wait until the problem has to be fixed. Same over here too.
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed indeed. Phoenix is not a place you want to be without power, especially this time of year!
ReplyDeleteThe use of machine is prevalent in our society
ReplyDeleteAlways so many standing around, when only a couple do any work.
ReplyDeleteWe lose power here during storms throughout the year. Last time it was a week without power, during sweltering summer heat.
Well, at least they've identified the problem. That's half the battle, I suppose.
