I was at my friends Julie and Dave's house last weekend and while I was there two unexpected visitors showed up. Julie had mentioned a week ago that there were signs that javelinas had been roaming the mountainside where she lives. Here's the proof.
She has called a wildlife expert to trap them and take them to a refuge where they can live a better life away from the hazards of city life.
Julie snapped these photos while we stayed quiet so we wouldn't scare them off.
Wow, what an incredible encounter! Julie’s quick thinking and care for the javelinas is admirable—glad they’ll be safely relocated to a better environment.
ReplyDeleteWow.That is a surprise.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos. Javelinas seem so exotic to me, even though I know they're pretty common there. (And mean, apparently?) Anyway, hope they can be relocated safely.
ReplyDeleteA bit unexpected.
ReplyDeleteWow, incredible.
ReplyDeleteThat was quite a sight! I hope the javelinas get relocated soon to a safer home.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, how cute are they? We definitely don't have those here in Western Australia. Actually I had never heard of them before.
