Computer Problems & Yard Art

I found this yard art when I was searching for the monastery that I posted a few days ago.  I thought it was a pretty clever way to reuse a tree stump.

For the past two weeks, I've been having lots of computer problems.  My MacBook Pro was over heating and shutting down all the time.  It was also running extremely slow.  I made an appointment with Apple and took it in for a check up.  It turned out to be a battery problem.  I didn't know that you can now get the battery replaced however the cost to do that and the time it would take made me decide to get a new computer. My old Mac was from 2017 so I guess it was time.

Anyway, the Apple staff was great, helping get data transferred to the new computer and getting it all set up.  I left the store a happy girl with a shiny, new computer.

The tail of the fox, suggests that the tree was used as a plinth for her. Computers can be challenging, I wonder when my Mac desktop will conk out for the last time.

Love the yard art, Sharon.
I hate change so dread the day I have to replace my computer.

Incredible art, it looks great. I hate when it's time to get a new computer, it's like you have to begin again to make it like your old one.

Nice piece of yar art. I don't use Mac but rely on windows laptops and one of mine is about the same age as yours, my wife uses it. It will need replacing sometime but I think you did the right thing in changing it

I love the fox art! That would be appropriate for us here, too. :)

Glad you got a new computer. I'm going to need to spring for one myself fairly soon, I think. (Mine is from 2015!)

Delighted that they took such great care of you! Enjoy your new toy. Yes, that was a very creative and foxy yard sign!

I have seen many trees carved into artwork after their life spans have ended. This is a good one. Last time my MacBook Pro had a battery problem, I was told that batteries on that model were not replaceable, so I had to get a new one. You sound a heckuva lot more upbeat about replacing yours than I was about having to replace mine.
