Here are a few more flowers from the Tempe Blooms event that I wrote about yesterday. I especially liked that tree all decorated with flowers.
I also discovered this sculpture that pays tribute to a former Mayor of Tempe, Harry Mitchell. It's called "Above the Crowd" and the artist is John R. Nelson.
That is one VERY TALL sculpture.

that 2nd shot is the most gorgeous of them all.
Tall, it is, hard to miss.
That is rather tall. I wonder if above the crowd was a commentary, or a complement.
That is very tall! I'm betting there was a bit of a debate over it when it was installed, Sharon.
I like the tree -- it reminds me of Hindu temples I saw in India, bedecked with marigolds. That sculpture is a hazard to birds!
