The opening celebration for the Botero show at the Desert Botanical Garden was last Thursday night.
I mentioned two weeks ago that the new art exhibit at the garden featured Fernando Botero's sculptures and paintings.
These are the only two large scale sculptures that are on display in the garden area. The paintings and some small sculptures are in one of the indoor galleries. I'll show you some of those tomorrow.
I can't imagine how much these two sculptures must weigh. It must have been quite a process to set them in place.
