The Art of Laguna Beach

There was a little rain over night but Thursday things cleared and it turned out to be a beautiful day.  I made it to Laguna Beach and strolled around looking in the shops and galleries.

One place I always like to visit is the Vladimir Kush gallery.  His work is beautiful and always gives you something to think about.  He calls his style Metaphorical Realism.

Check out his website.  There is a slide show on the home page of some of this fantastic works.

A sad piece of news about him is that his Maui gallery burned down in that awful fire.  I was sad to hear that.

The day cleared up beautifully as you can see from this view from the resort where I am staying.  I am truly enjoying this much cooler weather.

  1. A nice time of the year to get away from the valley of the sun.

  2. It is nice that you have a break from the heat and can stroll around in the daytime. What a view that you have, Sharon.

  4. Cool weather beats the heat. Nice view and it's sad about the artist's gallery.

  5. Looks like wonderful weather! I'm sure a lot of art perished in those fires. Those waterfront homes must have been full of it. Such a shame.
