I've noticed how active the quail have been every time I walk at the Desert Botanical Garden. They have been scurrying around all over the garden. This one posed for me on top of a fence.
This one appears to checking out her reflections in the water.
This fellow was watching me take some photos of a blooming cactus. They are very busy birds with lots and lots to do every day.

Such a pretty variety with the feathers on their heads
So funny to watch them so close by.
Nice one. Quails is something that I don't see in my part of world.
I love it when you show us these guys, Sharon. I have never seen one.
In Spokane, we have California quail. I think the AZ quail are better looking. We're always impressed at how many clutches of eggs they hatch, and how large they are.
Nice captures. I don't see Quails around here.
I love seeing those Gambel's quail. They are so funny with their little topknot.
Beautiful birds.
They are beautiful!
A nice helmet there
Such weird-looking (but pretty) birds!
