This is a Glasswing Butterfly, a butterfly with transparent wings which allow it to camouflage easily without blending with specific colors. I photographed this pretty little insect some years ago when I visited the Butterfly Wonderland place in Scottsdale. When pondering this theme, I vaguely remembered seeing a clear-winged butterfly so I searched through my archives to locate a photo. Luckily, I had just one photo of this species.
