Monsoon Season is Great for Sunsets

The Arizona monsoon season may not always bring the much needed rains but it is pretty good at giving us just enough clouds to make some dramatic sunsets.  I was at my friends Julie and Dave's house on Friday evening and we were treated to another spectacular sunset.

Turning around and looking in the opposite direction, the sky was full of all kinds of clouds moving our way.  Pretty soon after this taking this shot, the wind started to blow and those clouds took on the gray of storm clouds.  We didn't get any rain though.  There was rain in some of the far reaches of the valley but none for the inner city.

I have a new post on Sharon's Sojourns today.  One city's art collection is featured.

It's funny to think of monsoons in Arizona. Before I read your blog I'd never have thought to associate that word with the desert Southwest!
