Christmas at the Desert Botanical Garden means Luminarias. The garden always looks so pretty at night with all those lanterns lighting the way.
They always have a nicely decorated Christmas tree and this year they have three. The third one is shorter and hard to make out but there were three here.
They also have music scattered all around the garden. The carolers were near the entrance and this group called the Driftwood Quintet was playing in another location. There were several other groups in different places. It's always very festive at this time of year.
I have a new post on Sharon's Sojourns today. I have my favorite London photos over the years.
Lucky for you Sharon. The Gardens is such a lovely place to visit.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it cold outside?
ReplyDeleteHow very lovely to have music in the garden, the plants will be enjoying that as much as the visitors.
ReplyDeleteSuch as pretty place, woodwinds - driftwood, I love the play on words.
ReplyDeleteLooking wonderful and very merry!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful garden to have these festive events.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love luminarias. Several years we went to a friends for dinner just hours after a fluffy snow storm and there was no wind so everything was covered. They had lanterns placed along their sidewalk and it was so magical. I can still visualize it.
ReplyDeleteWonderful shots.
ReplyDeleteThe managers of the DBG do a very good job throughout the year, it seems.
ReplyDeleteI like the luminaries. When I was in Columbus, my German Village neighborhood had a big Christmas walking evening on a Sunday and the streets were lined with luminaries. It was great, especially if there was some snow.
