I saw this shrub on my last walk at the Desert Botanical Garden. There was no sign to identify this plant so I don't know what it is. When I looked at the photo, my first thought was that it looked like snow on pine branches but, I can assure you that it wasn't snow. Not when we are still having temperatures in the 80's.
It is certainly an interesting plant. Does anyone have any ideas as to what it might be?
Don't know what it is, never seen this plant before, but it looks quite beautiful, and from a distance I'm sure it could be taken for snow.
ReplyDeleteThere are a few apps around that are good for that sort of thing.
ReplyDeleteIt certainly has that look.
ReplyDeleteYes... I was fooled in the first glace of thinking it was snow.
ReplyDeleteFunny, it looks like real snow indeed!
ReplyDeleteAn amazing amount of bloom
ReplyDeleteI have no idea, Sharon. I am certainly not looking forward to seeing snow!
ReplyDeleteNo idea, but it is photogenic.
ReplyDeleteIt DOES look like snow! My plant app says it's a "groundsel bush," Baccharis halimifolia. Could that be right?
ReplyDeleteWhatever it is, it's pretty.
ReplyDeleteI think you are right Steve!! I searched the images and I think that's it. Thanks very much.
ReplyDeleteNo idea what it is, but it's pretty, and it really does look like snow!
ReplyDeleteHow exquisite.
ReplyDeleteDang! Don't know. But offhand, I'd call it a snow plant.
ReplyDeleteSteve did seem to nail it — seep willow, among other common names…
