Yesterday I showed you the blooms on the top of a giant saguaro cactus. Today I'm showing you a saguaro the will never bloom. That's because it's not a real saguaro.
Do you remember when I had a photo of a fake pine tree that was actually a cell phone tower? Well around my neighborhood, the cell phone towers come cloaked as saguaro cacti. If you look closely at the very top, you will see the outline of a little door so it can be serviced if necessary. The little holes at the bottom I'm sure serve some other purpose.
I've seen the palm tree towers and the pine tree towers many times, but it took me a while to spot the cactus towers. I wonder how many other disguises those towers use.

Secret service, spies???
E.T. phone home!
In Saudi Arabia, the cell phone towers are disguised as super tall palm trees. I think it's a great idea to make them look more esthetically pleasing to their environment.
It does blend in well.
Nice idea,
A great idea! I don't think we have anything like that here, Sharon!
Very fitting...
It looks good and it is hard to see or find, I bet.
That is much better than the ones I have seen.
That is a tad disturbing. Why the need to hide?
Wow! What a great idea! I only noticed the fake palm trees in the past.
That's pretty clever, actually. It looks much more realistic than the fake pine/palm trees.
