I had to take a spin through the photo archives to come up with a photo that would fit today's City Daily Photo Blogger's theme of "Smiles". These days, the only smiles I see are on TV. Our pandemic numbers are so high here in Arizona that literally every person I encounter is wearing a mask and the few I see that don't have a mask on I avoid at all costs.
This photo was taken a year ago back in February of 2020 just weeks before the world changed drastically. I attended a fund raising event for a charity called "Pet Project". A group that finds homes for pets that owners can no longer care for. This lady was holding her cute dog who was a featured guest at the event. Her smile indicates just how happy she is loving this shaggy fellow.
Last February was only one year ago but somehow seems a world away.

Everything seems to be a world away...
Sorry... but it did not make me smile... but it did make me laugh out loud. \(ˆ˚ˆ)/
A happy picture!
What a happy smile and fluffy dog, more than I can say for the lady in red behind who looks rather disapproving
Even the dog is smiling,
The dog looks pleased with life too! It is hard to believe what has happened to us all in a year.
Great shot for theme day.
What a great photo! It's amazing to think how different things were just a year ago. Come on, vaccine!
That's a big smile!!
What a great smile. The dog made me laugh with his hairdo, looks like something out of the 80s. :)
our archives are full of wonderful memories. Lovely photo and it is nice to see the smiles. Happy theme day :)
That is a wonderful shot!
Darling girl and precious dog! So sorry your numbers are so high in AZ. I feel sure that things are going to get better soon. We are booking a trip, but only feel safe making it for Spring ‘22.
The lady in red does not seem amused.
A real, legitimate smile! How rare they seem these days. Good things we have our archives, isn't it?
Great find for the theme day. Smile.
Oh that is a million dollar smile for sure Sharon, brilliant for the theme 😀
