When I created the post about the office building now called U-Haul Towers, I remembered that there used to be a set of Asian-style lions in front of the building. It looked like they were still there in the recent photo but I hadn't remembered for sure. So, I took a drive over to see if they were still there.
Indeed, they were still there. So today I follow up my Sunday post with some close ups of the lions.
I wonder why they were there in the first place. Was there an Asian connection to this building that I don't know about?
I even found a side entrance to the building with a set of smaller lions framing that door. I'm glad I went back to check it out.
They look fierce, but they are beautiful, I like them !
ReplyDeleteI like them fierce sitting there at the entrance. Your hair is o.k. anyway :)
ReplyDeleteI got a chuckle from your reflection. I have done that many times myself. lol
ReplyDeleteGlad the lions are still there, it would be fun to know how they were chosen,
ReplyDeleteMaybe in the previous history of the building?
ReplyDeleteThey are guards? They give a nice touch to the place, Sharon.
ReplyDeleteInteresting! I wonder if it has Chinese or Asian owners?
ReplyDeleteNice to see you Sharon 😊 I'm glad the lions survived the takeover of the building Sharon, they to a wonderfully impress job of guarding the building ✨
ReplyDeleteI didn't know that it was your reflection until I read it I thought you cpatured someone else taking a photo too. :) Love those lions, very attractive guarding the buiding.
ReplyDeleteA great follow-up with the lions. Moving them would not please these two lion I imagine, they seem to be enjoying their job.
ReplyDeleteSurely there was an asian restaurant somewhere nearby.
