I was shopping for a new pair of sneakers (trainers, athletic shoes, whatever you call them) this last weekend and although I didn't find what I was looking for, I did find a few interesting shoes with "entertainment" value.
These beaded comic book heels were very different. I tried to think of the perfect occasion to wear them and just couldn't come up with anything.
These sparkling and fringed "go-go" boots would be great for a re-make of "Saturday Night Fever." They'd look great on the dance floor.
Female construction workers might be interested in this pair however, those heels might be a bit treacherous climbing around on scaffolding.
The funny thing is, I actually saw a young girl wearing something similar to these later that same day.
Apparently there is a market for them among the younger generations.

Yes the younger generation has other tastes, but we oldies took over their sporty ones. I see many of them here wearing them and myself too :)
No thank you. I am happy with my Merrell men's waterproof hiker.
Only good to look at... :)
Those last ones would fit in on the streets here too, Sharon!
I actually like all of these shoes Sharon, if only I was 100 years younger 😄
I'm a bit of a shoe collector, and I would probably wear the high heels, they are fun.
The sparkling boots are a bit over the top and the other boots a bit too chunky for my taste.
An interesting subject to photograph. I like plain old comfortable shoes. :)
I love those "Pow!" shoes. Probably not for me, though.
The first pair particularly stands out.
I would think those first pair would be great at a Comic-Con.
Hey! It looks like a sale. How can your resist any of them?
The "Pow!" heels would pair perfectly with a cape and Wonder Woman outfit. (Doesn't any working woman have that tucked in her closet?)
Some years back Doc Martens were popular. Maybe they were a precursor to those third ones you show.
oooh I like the black and silver blingy boots, I can picture myself wearing them.
Fun shoes to hire for a one time use...
