Bienvenidos

Along a section of 16th Street in Phoenix is a variety of murals painted by a selection of artists with roots in Mexico or Central America.  The murals are part of a project called "Calle 16", a project that is designed to bring the neighborhood (or barrio) closer together. This particular mural is called Bienvenidos a Arizona and it was painted by Gennaro Garcia and an artist called DOSE.  The artist Garcia grew up in Mexico and now lives in Phoenix.  He is known for his ceramics.

I always admire people who can make this on a public place in the streets.

There is a lot to see in this mural. I would say the artist is fan of the USA.

I love it when artists collaborate on a big wall like this Sharon, their different styles blend well together here ✨

I wonder if the chef Silvana Salcido Esparza started all that when she opened her Barrio Cafe on 16th street?

That's huge! I think I've seen the name Dose on a mural somewhere around here.

It's a very 'busy' mural. Does it follow a theme?
