Actually it's two dragonflies. The first one I saw flitting around in Julie's garden at her house. He had a rather shiny body but his wings are almost invisible against the greenery.
This one was spotted at a local nursery and it was sitting pretty at the very tip of a leaf. This one is a lot brighter in color than the first one. His wings stand out a lot more.
Two insects, miles apart doing pretty much the same thing!

ReplyDeleteThat's what they do -- sit at the very tip of leaves and rushes, waiting for prey. (Smaller insects, not us!)
