When I took that walk on Mill Avenue in Tempe last week, I happened pass a wonderful old book store. It's called Old Town Books and they sell used books of every type. Doesn't it have the perfect cluttered charm of a vintage book store? Shakespeare & Co. in Paris came to mind immediately when I stepped inside the door. If you've been there you know what I mean.
The window display is what stopped me but, browsing inside was pure magic.
What a joy to browse through all those packed shelves of books!
ReplyDeleteNothing beats holding a 'real' book in your hand!
I like walking around old book shops when I can
ReplyDeleteNothing better than a good book !
ReplyDeleteThat looks like an AMAZING store! I love old bookstores, and unfortunately they're rarer and rarer these days as most dealers take to the Internet.
ReplyDeleteThis is my kind of place! We had a couple of places like this but they've closed and all we're left with is a Barnes & Noble. I could spend hours here just rummaging through all those books. I don't remember it, though, so it probably wasn't there 50 years ago.
ReplyDeleteI have and I know exactly what you mean Sharon.. what a joy to find a bookstore like this. That's why I love our Elizabeth's Second Hand Bookstore, it's just like this also. Loooove your first shot here!
ReplyDeleteI love going through bookshops like that!
ReplyDeleteThere used to be 2 like that around the corner from me but they have both gone to on-line selling. I like to feel and touch a book!
ReplyDeleteBook lovers heaven!

Definitely would want to browse and spent some serious time in there. The smell of old books is a smell I love.
ReplyDeleteThose are absolutely the best types of book stores.
ReplyDeleteI could spend a few hours in there.
ReplyDeleteNothing like an old independent book store.
