Nibbling on the Plants


On my most recent walk at the Desert Botanical Garden, I spotted some movement in bush near by.  I took a closer look and found this little round tailed ground squirrel munching away on the the buds on this plant.  He was so busy chowing down that he didn't seem to mind me clicking away in front of him.

    Awww! Looks like he's eating lantana. I didn't know any part of that plant was edible, even for a squirrel!

    That's an amazing shot. These guys usually don't pose like that. Did you feed him a nut laced with valium? :)))
