Facelift

While I was downtown locating "Melinda" the mural of yesterday, I noticed that the Renaissance hotel has gotten a bit of a facelift.  Remember when In posted a similar scene a few years back?  I'm not sure I like this new "white" face.  It will take some getting used to.

Here's a full view.  It blended in with it's neighbors when it was that southwestern sandy tan.  Oh well, I guess that's progress!

  4. I think I like it Sharon, looks nice and fresh.. but that could be just because I'm into white at the moment ☺

  5. It's always hard to see something different from what we were used to, I agree with you. There is more and more a before and an after these days.

  6. Yes, that'll take time to get accustomed to.

  7. It reminds me of one of those tools with which you grate cheese. It is! It's a giant grater!

Here in Florida we have giant craters! Sinkholes, that is. Especially with all the rain we've been having!

  8. Actually I like it, though it DOES look a bit like a cheese grater, as Lowell said. :)

  9. Cool shot! I think I like the old color better but it does have a clean look to it. One always wants their cheese grater to be clean.

  10. I like it and I guess it will reflect the sun away a bit more! I heard about your big heat today - be careful!

  12. Nice patterns, I thought the same thing as Lowell, it resembles a cheese grater. I do like the colour of the older building, not a big fan of white but the building is unique and I like it.

  13. I can't place the details in my memory but there is something about this that reminds me of the entrances to Hopi hogons.
