I thought I had missed out on the blooms on the Argentinian Giant cactus this year but I finally caught one this last Sunday at the garden.
This cactus has the most spectacular blooms that are always the size of a large dinner plate.
This one was in perfect condition and was beautifully shaped. I'm so glad I got to see it and photograph it.
The giant is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWonderful, the cactus and the photos !
ReplyDeleteGreat shots! I guess "giant" refers to the size of the flowers, as opposed to the cactus itself?
ReplyDeleteSo glad you didn't miss out either, Sharon as these are fabulous shots of it!
ReplyDeleteI don't think a professional could photograph this bloom any better. But what's an Argentinian cactus doing in Phoenix? It was probably brought up your way on the back of a horse ridden by an Argentinian cowboy! :)
ReplyDeleteAnother beauty!
ReplyDeleteWow - a great catch, Sharon!
ReplyDeleteBeautifully photographed!
ReplyDeleteGlad you got to photograph this beauty. Stunning photos, Sharon!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty!
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous. I didn't realize how big it was until you mentioned its size!
ReplyDeleteFabulous shots of this exotic beauty Sharon.
ReplyDeletei find blossoms on cacti especially beautiful and what a great job you did!
ReplyDeleteSuch a refined flower structure!
ReplyDeleteLook at that! You always do a great job photographing flowers and plants.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been visiting much lately. Life gets complicated some times.
