I love finding orchid trees in bloom and I found one I'd never seen before in the park at the Scottsdale Civic Center this last weekend.
When I saw those pink blooms on the tree, it prompted me to get in close for a better view.
I hadn't seen one this color of hot pink before and I like it very much.
I don't think I've ever seen an orchid tree Sharon, how fabulous, the hot pink is so pretty. It looks nice and green around there, amazing how a wee bit of rain makes all the difference ☺ do you have water restrictions there during the summer months Sharon, or can you use the reticulation freely?
ReplyDeleteAnd so well highlighted by your eye.
ReplyDeleteThat is just so pretty & exotic! How lucky you are to see a tree full of these blooms!
ReplyDeleteWe used to have one of these in our yard in Florida! My childhood babysitter always called it a "Florida orchid," but clearly it grows elsewhere too!
ReplyDeleteFabulous macro, Sharon !
ReplyDeleteYour comment made me laugh out loud! We had one of these trees in our back yard at our old house in Ocala. They are nice and your photo is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know there was such a tree! Pretty!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty colour, too!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteI visited an orchidarium in Mexico once and was amazed to discover the thousands of varieties of that flower.
What a wonderful tree!
ReplyDeleteI've never noticed an orchid tree either! Amazing!
