My friends and I weren't the only ones dining al fresco on Thanksgiving day. I took a drive through Papago Park around 11:00 AM and found it to be a very busy place. In fact, almost every picnic ramada was full of people. My favorite spot by the lagoon was so busy, there was someone directing traffic to different parking spots.
That is one very large family. How would you like to cook for that group?
In that top photo, you might be able to see lots of people up in the hole-in-the-rock behind the gathering. I zoomed in to grab a photo of the large group of people who were doing a little rock climbing before they had their Thanksgiving feast.
I have a new post on Sharon's Sojourns today. I'm making a new architectural discovery.
That's a fun place for a visit. Love the holes you can walk into.

Rock climbing.. that's an excellent way to work up an appetite Sharon ☺ Super spot for a picnic. I hope that you're starting to feel a little bit better, I actually think I might survive.. there were moments though ☺☺
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had delightful weather for Thanksgiving which makes dining outside much more pleasant. That is a huge family ... hopefully, several people were involved in the cooking. And then, think of the clean up!
ReplyDeleteThey chose a nice spot. The cooking is more fun than the cleaning up after.
ReplyDeleteNice place for a picnic and it quite obviously has been discovered.
ReplyDeleteA marvelous place to spend time in.
ReplyDeleteGood place for a picnic
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful idea for the big feast to be a picnic at the park!
ReplyDeleteThose are interesting caves. And "ramada" -- that's a new word to me! Except for Ramada Inn.
ReplyDeleteSo, how does one cook a turkey out there?
