When I was in Tempe a week ago, I drove around a new commercial/industrial area with lots of business complexes. One of them had this gorgeous sculpture out front.
The place is called the Liberty Center at Rio Salado and it was an attractive complex made even nicer with these artistic touches.
I enjoyed snapping some photos of this sculpture made of metal and filled with colorful broken glass.
It looks like the olympic torch
ReplyDeleteA wonderful piece of contemporary art - the rust against your blue, blue skies is great!
ReplyDeleteI do like the flames -- they seem to be flickering with movement!
ReplyDeleteReally nice piece of sculpture. Seems Olympic to me!
ReplyDeleteI like it a lot Sharon, I could see this sculpture rising out of the ivy in my garden, tres dramatic 😊
ReplyDeleteI like the combination of the rusty metal and the blue glass. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteThe sculpture appeals to me too.
ReplyDeleteIt reminds me of the Olympics too. I bet there are lights amidst the glass pieces that light it up at night, Sharon!
ReplyDeleteThe rusted metal of the flame works so nicely with the sign. I hate to respond to art like it is decoration, but that is the way this flame strikes me.
ReplyDeleteI like this rusty flame, Sharon !
