More West Side Art

Here a few more of the art pieces I found along Grand Avenue last weekend.  I especially liked this shade cover with the flowers and grapes hanging from it.

There were trees covered in knitted blankets or robes and other knitted creatures hanging from the wires above the sidewalk.

Here's another covered tree.  This one is covered with pom-pom like groups of yarn.

And one of the trees had these lovely flower balls hanging from it like Christmas ornaments.

There was a lot to see on this one little stretch of street.

  1. Wow, that is quite the installation! I love the knitted tree covers. I've found similar ones in Iceland and New York City. There's one particular street artist -- can't remember the name -- who specializes in covering all sorts of objects, from street signs to bicycles to cars, in knitted coverings.

  2. Your Phoenix looks bright and cheery and lovely to look at on a dull Coventry day.

  3. Are the grapes real, think I'd be picking them if they were. Cheers the sidewalk up no end

  9. These are all quite fantastic! I love the first shot and think that would be a worthwhile idea to incorporate in an outdoor patio. I also really like the yarn pom-poms!

  10. Brilliant! So cheerful (though the first one reminds me of Italian trattorias here... :-))

  15. My goodness, has Grand Avenue undergone a revitalization? It was always such a dreary stretch. These are all so pretty and colorful.
