While I was at the Phoenix Art Museum, I took the opportunity to view the Circle of Animals, Ai Weiwei's zodiac heads in gold. The really are a dramatic group of sculptures.
I thought the Ox was particularly attractive.
But, since I was born in the year of the dog, I had to get a photo of the happy looking canine.
What a GREAT exhibit.
ReplyDeleteVery impressive!
ReplyDeleteInteresting collection, Sharon.
ReplyDeleteSo they're the Chinese Zodiac figures Sharon? Was looking to see if I could find the tiger :)
ReplyDeleteThey do catch the eye. I have seen some of his other work from news articles here.
ReplyDeleteThey looks great displayed like that. The ones they had here a couple of years ago were displayed outdoors in the reflecting pool in front of our City Hall.
ReplyDeleteThe ox seems happy.
ReplyDeleteFascinating. Just so long as you don't get a head of yourself. :))
ReplyDeleteImpressive works, I like very much the one you choose!
ReplyDeleteThese are more than cool!
ReplyDeleteI don't like all of his works but these are fabulous!
ReplyDeleteWonderful exhibit. I may have to drive down to see it. I would like to see my "sign": the dragon.
ReplyDeleteNice! These look familiar, but I can't think of where I might have seen the exhibition.
ReplyDeleteI'm a big fan of Ai Weiwei. However, I've never seen this work before.
