We had a good sized storm move into the valley Friday afternoon. When I noticed it, I drove over the the shopping center and went up to the top of the garage to get a better view. It was windy and the clouds were swirling all around but, would you believe there was very little rain at my house. News headlines said it rained very hard in different parts of the valley but at my house, nothing to speak of. What crazy weather.
I have a new post on
Sharon's Sojourns today. Mustangs make an appearance.
Very ominous!
ReplyDeleteRooftop parking is definitely not anyone's first choice in Phoenix in the summer so at least you got a wide-open view. Too bad you didn't get much from all those clouds.
ReplyDeleteAlways amazes me when this happens Sharon, sometimes you can actually see the rain ahead, where's there's not a drop where you are.. These clouds do look pretty ominous though.
ReplyDeleteI guess you would have had to drive to Apache Junction to get some rain shots or I guess you could have gone to Safford to get a tornado shot.
ReplyDeleteThe weather seems to be crazy everywhere these days, Sharon! Those sure look like rain clouds.
ReplyDeleteI like how you chose to take this photo, vast nothingness and sky!
ReplyDeleteYou have to remember that Greater Phoenix covers a humongous area nowadays.
ReplyDeleteStorm clouds building... Is it a family reunion? GRIN.
ReplyDeleteFrom what I've read, if we think the current weather patterns have been capricious we have some surprised in store for us with El Niño. Your sky looks a little brooding.
ReplyDeleteThis has a stark, barren look. A big wash would turn it into something else entirely.
ReplyDeleteOminous skies. We had threatening skies in the early evening this past Friday, but off to the north on the Quebec side of the river, so none of it fell here, at least not until overnight.
