Just look at the grumpy expression on the face of that lion. Maybe he's not happy having to stand in front of this business day and night.
He and his equally grumpy friend sit in front of the Capital Grille located at the Biltmore Fashion Park shopping center near where I live. It's one of the many restaurants that I could walk to (when the temperatures go down a bit) but, I have to admit I've only been inside this place once and that was years ago. If you live in the US, I bet there is one of these places near you too.
He does look a little fed up!
ReplyDeleteA grumpy old lion, hopefully has the owner not the same expression...
ReplyDeleteThat expression is open to interpretation :). I bet you have a vast choice of restaurants to visit...maybe a smiley face would more likely entice you to go to that one.
ReplyDeleteI chuckled when I saw his upside down smile. Pretty funny.
ReplyDeleteIt's probably the heat.
ReplyDeleteHe needs a hat.
ReplyDeleteNot even grumpy, probably taking seriously his role...
ReplyDeleteYep, there's one in Tampa too. That lion probably saw the check!
ReplyDeleteHe seems quite sour.
ReplyDeleteThere are a couple of them here standing outside what is now an appliance parts business.
At least he's got that other grump to keep him company!
ReplyDeleteThat face makes me laugh Sharon!
ReplyDeleteHe looks like he has eaten something that he doesn't like!
ReplyDeleteThat certainly is a really sourpuss.
ReplyDeleteThere is a Capitol Grill (with that lion's brothers standing guard in front) on Hartford's Front Street and on Route 41 in Naples, so they have me covered.
ReplyDeleteMelting under the sun?? It makes me smiles.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't strike me as being grumpy. Lions of any stature remind me of those in front of the Chicago Art Institute.
