I caught sight of this mural in downtown Phoenix as I was passing and turned around to get a photo. The artist was actually there working on it at the time. His name is Jeff Slim and he was working in a very narrow space between two buildings on a very hot day. That's dedication. He told me that this entire wall has been set aside for murals all by different artists. I'll go back and get more shots of the others sometime soon.
Quite psychedelic, well done Mr Slim!
ReplyDelete"Help! Where's my head? My eyes? I can't see!"
ReplyDeleteSo interesting Sharon, did he explain his motivation?
ReplyDeleteInteresting! Did he tell you what this is depicting? It is very colorful. I can't imagine being out in the heat painting a wall. At least he didn't have to wait too long for the paint to dry.
ReplyDeleteI do like the colors but don't have a clue as to the rest of it. Perhaps I just live life with blinders.
ReplyDeleteThat's nice that you got to meet the artist - doesn't happen very often. Sometimes, though, I think they need to also put up an explanation of their work on the wall.
ReplyDeleteThat is going to be a fun wall, Sharon!
ReplyDeleteQuite unusual. It does command attention.
ReplyDeleteThat's a brilliant one, I love the message, I love the colours!
ReplyDeleteIf I saw this, I am sure I would take a photo too - it is full of vibrant colors. I like that. Meaning? Not sure.
ReplyDeleteI want some of whatever he was smoking!
ReplyDeleteInteresting. I like it too. How wonderful that the whole wall will be covered in murals!
ReplyDeleteVery cool!
ReplyDeleteWell, I suppose he should be slim to work in a narrow space. Surrealism lives.
ReplyDeleteVery cool and eye-catching!
ReplyDeleteHow interesting! Did he tell you anything about what it represents, or what he took for inspiration? (I don't mean drug-wise, though I suppose there could be some of that too. :) )
ReplyDeleteBright colors and so appropriate to include turquoise jewelry!
ReplyDeleteIt is kind of ice, but it doesn't mean anything to me. You are reminding me that I saw a mural I need to photograph some day.
ReplyDeleteI like all the color on this one.
ReplyDeleteIs it a way to say "I don't want to show my face"?
