My early Sunday morning walk at the garden yielded a new plant that I hadn't noticed before. It's either a tree or a shrub with these amazing brilliant red blooms on it. If you look closely, you'll see a hummingbird in there among the bright blooms.
In fact, there was quite a lot of hummingbird activity around this red beauty.
The red blooms are very eye-catching, but I love that little hummingbird !
ReplyDeleteI also love the red color, piercing through the images.

I think it's a coral bean, if I'm not mistaken. The beans are supposed to be poisonous, but clearly not the flowers!
ReplyDeleteLooks like chilis! Love that hummingbird! But it needs a home, like the home I showed today! :)
ReplyDeleteI was thinking chillis too. Sad. Lowell and I on the same wavelength this AM.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic spot!
ReplyDeleteYou got some nice pictures of this little jewel. One time I was working in the yard and had a red hat on and I had three of them checking out the hat.
ReplyDeleteFabulous shots, Sharon!
ReplyDeleteIf I was a hummingbird, I think I'd love these flowers too!
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful. And I can't get over how well that humming bird is camouflaged.
ReplyDeleteThey certainly are attracted to that color.
ReplyDeleteA lovely red, and that hummer's a beauty.
ReplyDeleteExquisite with the humming bird.
ReplyDeleteThat hummingbird looks confused by the plethora of red.
ReplyDeleteI'm with Karl. What a capture with the hummingbird. You are such a great photographer!

I was so attracted by the red, I almost didn't see the hummers. Amazing shots!
ReplyDeleteThe hummingbirds must find that vivid red to be very seductive
ReplyDeleteSharon, you always make me happy with your hummingbird shots. So beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThat hummer hit the jackpot when it found this plant!
ReplyDeleteGood job! It is hard to catch a hummingbird. They seem to be in constant motion.
