My art club, the Summer Art Challenge had our first meeting for the 2015 summer season last Sunday so I thought I'd show you my entry for the April challenge of "Show Me Where You Live".
I thought about how to present that theme and since I live in the desert and I love photographing the desert so much, I decided I should do something with a desert theme.
A couple of weeks ago, I went to see the Andy Warhol exhibit at the Phoenix Art Museum and his paintings inspired me to do something similar but with a desert theme. So here you have it, my two entries for the April theme. A colorful way to see the desert!
You can see all of the works presented by the club members on our website here.
I have a new post on Sharon's Sojourns today. See the museum that housed those diamonds I posted last week.
You are an artiste! Love this - especially the different colors.
ReplyDeleteLove the birds atop the cactus. There's color in the desert today!
ReplyDeleteAre those paintings or photographs, Sharon. Either way they are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a Warhol vibe! Nicely done!
ReplyDeleteI really like that top one, Sharon!
ReplyDeleteThese are awesome Sharon.
ReplyDeleteOutstanding images. The brilliant colors make them quite unusual. I followed the link to the art work of the club members, and it is a definite WOW! You belong to a very talented group.
ReplyDeleteNicely done, Sharon. The first one with the birds is really great !
ReplyDeleteBrilliant interpretation for your challenge Sharon, was interesting to see how the others in your class approached it.
ReplyDeleteCool! I did an Andy Warhol type picture a while back. I never did post it. Maybe I will.
ReplyDeleteLove the cactus! Reminds me of an Andy Warhol work. :)
ReplyDeleteYou are getting pretty clever with photo editing. I am too lazy and never took the time to learn. I will have to stick with realism.
ReplyDeleteLove these Warhol cacti!
