It's time to say goodbye to the holidays and to the year 2014 and move on to greet the new year ahead. I can't believe another year has passed and so quickly. My dad used to tell me when I was just a kid complaining about how slow time passed that when I got older time would seem to fly by. He was right! Whiz.....another year gone.
One thing is for sure, they never go backwards!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it funny how time seems to pass so slowly for children? I remember being so relieved when 1975 rolled around because it was a BRAND NEW YEAR and 1974 seemed to go on forever!
ReplyDeleteI guess it's all relative to the amount of time each of us has spent on the earth so far!
Yup. Pack up the ornaments. The party's over.
ReplyDeleteThose are pretty. It's snowing here.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
I like the colourful patterns!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, Sharon!
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful decorations, Sharon! Remember how summers seemed to last forever when you were a kid.
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely collection of colors - just right to end the year and ring in the new one. Happy New Year, Sharon!
ReplyDeleteOh I remember that too, how time used to be so incredibly long and now it just flies by!
ReplyDeleteSo where's the ball? :-)
Happy New Year's Eve!
I couldn't agree more with how time has speeded up as I've grown older. What brings it most to me is the birthdays that friends celebrate. Seems like they have 2 or 3 a year!
ReplyDeleteI like your close-up of the ornaments.
ReplyDeleteAnd, how true it is about life speeding up. But, all in all, things are pretty good in my part of the world. I wish you much happiness in 2015, too.
My parents told me the same thing. I had no clue it would go this fast.
