On Sunday morning I decided to take a little break from unpacking boxes to take a short walk at the Desert Botanical Garden. I hadn't been there since August and it was about time I saw what was going on.
And, what was going on was the Monarch Butterfly display. I made my way through the pavilion and snapped a few photos of these beauties who appeared to be quite happy flying from one flower to another.
Now, back to those boxes!
A beautiful botanical garden. Glad you made the walk.

ReplyDeleteWonderful photo of the butterfly!
ReplyDeleteYou had a beautiful break!
ReplyDeleteI can imagine you would have returned to your unpacking very much uplifted by this encounter Sharon!
ReplyDeleteSurprising what a brief respite can do for the spirit. No? Oh well, I tried to boost your spirits.
ReplyDeleteWhat a break! You need to take a few more!
ReplyDeleteIt's good for the soul to take a wee break, Sharon!
ReplyDeleteLooks like the break was worth it!
ReplyDeleteYou'll have monarchs for company for a little while; I'll miss seeing them until next year.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous shot of the butterfly! I would not have been able to tear myself away.
ReplyDeleteSharon, I'd love to come down and help you but . . .
ReplyDeleteLove that first shot.
ReplyDeleteAre those real plants or Chihuly's? Very nice photograph of the butterfly.
ReplyDeleteI am the kind of guy who can't stand living with boxes. I need to have everything out of suitcases and boxes and put in their places. In my working days, whenever I moved offices my stuff was put away and ready to go by 10 a.m. the first day. There were some others who still had boxes of stuff piled up three years later (or even longer!).
It's been six months since we were there but I remember that very bridge. Beautiful light.
ReplyDeleteLooks like your little break did you the world of good!
ReplyDeleteFantastic butterfly shot!
