This ceramic quail sits atop another totem that I found at the Shemer Art Center last weekend.
It was situated in a difficult place to photograph at the time of day I was there.
But hopefully you can see the different pieces that make up this artistic totem in one of these two photos.
I really like those totems. They seem especially appropriate for the Southwest. (Although this one has a pineapple in it, doesn't it?!)
ReplyDeleteThat's a strange piece of art.
ReplyDeleteWhimsical!
ReplyDeleteOur dog ignores most birds but quail always get him excited and barking. I think it's the "hat".
It's good craftmanship.
ReplyDeleteIt is a bit strange but it fits in perfectly!
ReplyDeleteI actually like the totem with the yellow orbs better.
ReplyDeleteThis is unusual. I would like the ceramic quail better as a stand-alone piece. Kind of like those wonderful French ceramic guinea hens.
ReplyDeleteThis looks really neat among the cacti.
ReplyDeleteWeird. Sorry, Sharon, I don't like this one.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful totem.
ReplyDeleteSo original! I would love one in our backyard...
ReplyDeleteAn unusual totem... but I like it.
ReplyDeleteFab totem Sharon lovely and colourful.. super composition in the second shot, the cactus in foreground provides an Arizona-like base :)
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job getting the photos, looks quite dangerous with all that cacti around!
ReplyDeleteAn unusual totem. When I think of them I visualize the wonderful Northwest pieces. Fun to see different styles.
ReplyDeleteVery cool totem!
