Finally some rain!

We had our first monsoon storm of the season Thursday night with some lightening, some thunder, some rain and a lot of wind.  I had dinner at a neighbor's house Thursday night and the walk home was so breezy and cool it was quite refreshing.  We haven't had any rain since March so it was much needed.

Back to normal then I guess. Great sky with the palm trees.

Arthur washed out our 4th... we'll try again today. Heading to Scarborough to be with friends.

Rain will be good for all the plants. I wish it would rain here too, only because of nature. The dry heat is really killing it.

The palm trees look nice with the dramatic sky. We got our first rain Thursday also.

Very dramatic skies, Sharon. One of my blogger friends lives in the Tucson area, and posted about rain as well.

Love this pic, Sharon!

Fabulous photo, Sharon, with those outlined palms agains the variously shaded blue sky. I have always lived in places with plentiful rain (at least, rain in summer in Florida) and can't imagine what it is like to go without rain from March to July.

I heard you had another HUGE dust storm!

Hooray for rain! It must be a wonderful break in the sunny monotony. (Not that sunshine is bad!)

Nothing like the smell of the desert after a rain.

The trees silhouetted against the sky and the open bright portion work well together.
