That elusive cardinal

Since I was on the subject of birds yesterday, look who else I saw on Friday.  That very elusive cardinal who hangs out at the garden.  I snapped this shot as soon as I saw him and then went to move a little closer and off he flew.

  1. They are such beautiful birds. That also includes the female.

  2. A lovely shot. The bird looks a bit bedraggled, though, like he got blown around in the wind a bit. We've to a lot of cardinals in the bush outside of our kitchen window. Hard to get a good photo of them, though.

  4. I only ever saw one cardinal in my whole life, somewhere on the Potomac near Washington, D.C. and I think I have a blurred picture of a red spot in the trees! :-) You caught it so well!

  9. Am I the only one who sees two birds?

  10. They are so difficult to catch! You can hear them singing in the trees but to get a pic is so difficult. You did well, Sharon.
