Sun protection

These two ladies are using their umbrellas to protect against that strong Arizona sun.  I spotted them on my Thursday afternoon walk at the Desert Botanical Garden.  That colorful Japanese style umbrella really caught my eye.

I probably won't be doing too many more late afternoon walks at the garden.  The temperature is starting to get up there.  It was 88 degrees (31C)  when I walked on Thursday and the weather forecasters are saying it will be at least 10 degrees higher (37C) this weekend.

  2. Same temps here. I really should start using umbrellas against the sun, too.

  3. My husband and I talked about the weather in Phoenix yesterday. Don't know if Minn's weather is more troublesome or your summer temps? The umbrellas are a terrific idea for comfort… beautiful, too.

  4. Those are fierce temperatures. Though I imagine humidity is not at all an issue in the summer.

  5. Love the umbrella Sharon, not so much the hot weather.. I'm so happy with our mid 20's autumn weather, it was a long hot summer :) Keep cool over the weekend.

  7. Good idea to bring your own shade.
Time to start looking for an air conditioned place to take your walks for a little while. Well....about five months.

  8. Nice catch. Quite a difference between the use of umbrella in Phoenix and in Toulouse. Sun or rain?
