One last de-install shot from the Chihuly exhibit. This was actually the first to be dismantled. I thought the lyrics to Bill Wither's song was appropriate for this one.
I never got to see the empty frame of this one. By the time I returned, the whole thing was gone. You can see part of the framework in this close up shot. You can also see how dusty the glass got sitting in the desert all those months.
They look great
ReplyDeleteI wonder if they clean each object before it is packed?
ReplyDeleteSpectacular photos on the whole series! Great job, Sharon.
ReplyDeleteI agree about the song. What glorious colors! Kinda sad to see it go, right?
ReplyDeleteYou got some wonderful pictures. They really look like they have the dismantling down to an art!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if any got broken. I know they would if I were doing it.
ReplyDeleteSuch amazing colour to it!
ReplyDeleteI would be so afraid of dropping one!
ReplyDeleteI've really enjoyed this series, Sharon!
ReplyDeleteOh my, thats awesome!
ReplyDeleteI presume Chihuly's people do the assembly and disassembly.
ReplyDeleteNice series of photos.
ReplyDelete"Ain't no sunshine when she's gone." You are one clever girl, Sharon!
ReplyDeleteThat's a very bright light that's about to go out!
ReplyDeleteI think this one would have been the most complicated Sharon.. Don't you think the months worth of dust looks a little like pollen, which would be appropriate oui :)
