The Art of Frank Lloyd Wright

Way back in July of 2008 when I first started this blog, I posted a photo of this stained glass window by Frank Lloyd Wright.  I decided it was about time to revisit it.  It's located in the lobby of the Arizona Biltmore Hotel & Resort, a Frank Lloyd Wright designed building and luxury hotel.  I LOVE this window.  I could easily live with it in my own home and look at it every day.

It's located in the lobby of the hotel and is one of the first things visitors see when they enter through the front doors.

I have a new post on Sharon's Sojourns today.  I'm talking you to see The Lord Mayor's Show in London!

  1. I love it, too. Don't know where I'd put it in my home, though. I hesitate to say this (afraid I'll sound ignorant) but it seems to incorporate a number of Native American elements...colors and designs. Maybe?

  3. FLW was an amazing and talented man. He used to fly on North Central Airlines, a small but wonderful airline, between Madison, Wi and Chicagu when I was still a "stew" and he was a grumpy old man then!!
Love all the color elements in that beautiful piece of art!

  6. This is busier than what one would normally associate with Frank Lloyd Wright.

  7. Beautiful! Yes, I believe it was time to show it again. That must be worth a small fortune.

  8. I'm reading a book about artists in the Old West around Flagstaff. One of them talks about how everything is changing in painting, as Cubism comes in and it's now all about color. These photos look like Wright was into that, too.

Quite difficult to frame it one way or the other.
