Here is another one of the Chihuly displays at the Desert Botanical Garden. These are called "Neodymium Reeds", quite a mouthful! They blend in perfectly with the lavender/purple theme that I've had going this week!
Reminder: The theme for May 1 is "Squares".
Chihuly never ceases to amaze me; the color is pretty special.
ReplyDeleteThey are great, and yes, you took the words out of my mouth, perfect colour for this week!
ReplyDeleteThey look very 'monumental'!
ReplyDeleteYes it does blend right in with the purple theme.
ReplyDeleteThat's exactly what came into my mind when I clicked on here Sharon.. What an extraordinary piece.
ReplyDeleteThey seem to be quite mesmerizing!
ReplyDeleteThey look so fragile that one would fear they could break off in a strong wind!
ReplyDeleteThese look like big pens, funny!
ReplyDeleteSticking with the lavender theme. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAmazing. I am looking forward to seeing the exhibit at the Denver Botanical Gardens.
ReplyDeleteThey make me think of organ pipes.

ReplyDeleteFantastic! So eye-catching.
ReplyDeleteI remember seeing similar "reeds" years ago at a Chihuly show in New York...red ones, as I recall.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen these before! Quite interesting!
