"Fins"

I do enjoy the sight of repeating patterns and I think these "fins" on the top of a downtown parking garage fit the bill very well.  It's one of the many public garages that is also used by city of Phoenix employees.  I'm sure the metal design is there to add an appealing look to what might otherwise be a drab facility and I think it works.

  3. It's these little 'flourishes' that can save a building, nice that they fancied up a parking garage. The angle you've used shows these details perfectly Sharon.
p.s. the thought of you dozing off in an uncomfortable chair made me smile, but you must have been exhausted!

  7. You're right as there's not much drabber than a concrete parking garage! I wonder if those fins came from an old Caddie?

Nicely-composed photo and that blue sky is to die. For.

  9. They stand out nicely against the sky. I've never seen that on buildings here.

  12. It's difficult to make a parking ramp look attractive, but you found a way to make this one unique.
