I'm not much a beer drinker but I do admire the fancy draft pulls that I see at restaurants. I was sitting at the bar at Gertrude's at the Desert Botanical Garden when I spotted the Big Blue Van pull. That Grand Canyon pull is quite elaborate but, the blue van caught my eye.
It didn't entice me to try the beer but I did order the dessert. A bowl full of doughnut holes with three great dipping sauces, smoked dark chocolate (yum), lime curd (smooth) and salted caramel (slurp). Yes, I ate them all.
Very striking blue van beer pull! Though those doughnut holes are what caught my eye:)
ReplyDeleteI don't drink beer, but the tap pull handles do appear to be good point-of-sale advertising.
ReplyDeleteI guess I'm not up on beers but I have never heard of the Blue Van. Those are some fancy pulls they have there. Looks like they have some good food too.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a drinker either, so I don't know these labels... I can see why you'd like the doughnut holes!
ReplyDeleteI must admit I have not paid that much attention to beer handle pulls. But I must go to Gertrude's for those doughnuts. ( I do like beer so maybe a glass of the Blue Van also)
ReplyDeleteI like the one with the skull :-)
ReplyDeleteI'd forget the beer, too, for those donut holes and sauces. Well, I'd probably try the Big Blue Van beer - wonder what kind of beer that pull dispensed?
ReplyDeleteWell, I'd go for a nice cold pint of Big Blue Van! I've never had a real sweet tooth but do like a good beer.
ReplyDeleteI like a nice amber ale or a dark Porter but I'm not familiar with any of the brands in your photo. The doughnut holes and their dipping sauces look fab!
ReplyDeleteI would have gone for the donuts too.
ReplyDeleteDesserts are impossible to resist. The blue van draft pull is hard to miss.
ReplyDeleteSome great looking beer pumps there, hope you enjoyed your treat!
ReplyDeleteSalted caramel.. now your talking Sharon AND donut balls, niiiiice :)
